About the project.
3H is a memory project dedicated to three figures of the Houyoux family: Maurice, George and Léon. It brings together biographical elements, visual archives and historical landmarks in a sober, editorial form.
A project of transmission
This website is not intended as a definitive inventory. It offers a sensitive and structured reading of three paths: the modernist architecture of Maurice Houyoux, the publishing work of George Houyoux and the luminist painting of Léon Houyoux.
Its aim is to make these trajectories accessible, to place them in their Belgian and European context, and to preserve a family memory that also belongs to the history of architecture, publishing and visual arts in the twentieth century.
Sources and documentation
The texts and images are based on family documents, reproductions of works, publications, catalogues, iconographic archives and documentary research. Some information may be refined or completed over time.
